Anyone can voluntarily contribute/donate for the purpose of charity and welfare of our brethren in uniform and their dependents or NOKs. All donations and contributions /subscriptions to Sainik Welfare Charitable Fund are exempted from income tax under Sec 80G.Receipt for the same will be issued to the donors and dispatched to their postal address through speed post.
Sainik Welfare Donation Card Membership:
Any eligible beneficiary donating or contributing minimum Rs 2500/- for the charitable purpose shall be accepted as a SWDC member with no liability and no voting rights .She/he shall be issued a membership number on Sainik Welfare Domation Card and shall be eligible to avail certain benefits over a period of 3 years from the date of receipt of donation/ subscription amount to the account of Sainik Welfare Charitable Fund.
Benefits of Sainik Welfare Card Members:
- SWDC Member shall be given a fixed discount of 2% on the basic cost of residential plot and 1% on residential apartment in case he/she applies for a residential unit within one month of announcement of that scheme by SWO-INDIA. This benefit can be availed only for one residential unit during the period of validity subject to availability of residential unit in the scheme for which member is interested.
- One time additional special discount/incentive shall be given to SWDC Members under the following categories:-

- In case of unfortunate demise of the SWDC Member due to Battle Casualty or Physical Casualty (only attributed or aggravated due to military service), one-time lump sum financial assistance of Rs 1,00,000/- and Rs 50,000/- respectively to be granted to the nominee as mentioned on the WELFARE CARD application form and is subject to verification from the CO/OC of the unit.
- In case of unfortunate demise of the SWDC Member who had applied for any residential unit in any of the SWO-INDIA residential schemes the residential unit will be transferred to his nominee and 50% of balance payments of that residential unit will be waived off subject to fulfillment of conditions given below:-
- Minimum 30% of the Total Cost of the residential unit has been paid up by the member/applicant.
- All the payments made by the member/applicant, before his demise, should have been made on time as per the payment schedule of SWO-INDIA.
- This benefit can be availed by the member/ applicant for ONLY one residential unit.
Please Note: Benefits mentioned in para 1 & 2 above shall not be applicable to SWDC applicants in case they are paid LDS registrants up to 15 Aug 2011.
Q. How to Subscribe for SAINIK WELFARE CARD Membership.
A. The following procedure is to be adopted by the eligible beneficiaries who wish to donate and seek membership of Sainik welfare Card:-
- Download the Application Form for Sainik Welfare Card from the website (CLICK HERE).
- The form must be signed by the applicant.
- Please ensure details of nominee and dependents are as per the service record to avail full benefits.
- Dispatch the Application by Post to: OIC, Sainik Welfare Card, 409, Block-C, Veer Awas, Sector -18 A, Dwarka, New Delhi -110078
- Please attach following documents :
- Photo copy of the first page of any Nationalized Bank Pass Book as Proof of identity and residence.
- Photo copy of PAN Card.
- Service personnel to attach service certificate issued by an officer.
- Ex-servicemen to attach copy of ex-servicemen identity card and PPO.
- Widows to attaché copy of Identity card issued by Zila Sainik Board and copy of PPO.
- Citation/Gazette notification of award/proof of disability/death certificate etc.
- Please attach two recent passport size photographs of SELF and also write Service Number and name behind the photograph.
Q. Who are eligible for Card Membership?
A. The following are eligible:
- Defence Forces Personnel (Serving or Retired).
- Paramilitary Forces Personnel of BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NSG & Railway Protection Force (Serving or Retired).
- All other Central Govt. Forces personnel from Coast Guard, DSC, National Security Organizations & Territorial Army etc.
- Border Roads Organization Personnel (Serving or Retired).
- Military Engineering Services Personnel (Serving or Retired).
- Personnel of Naval Dockyards (Retired or Serving).
- Personnel of Ordinance Depots/Factories (Retired or Serving).
- Widows, War – Widows & Next of Kin of all the above categories.
Q. What is the amount to become a SWDC Member?
A. Minimum Donation/ Subscription amount is Rs 2500/-.

Please Note:
- Donation / Subscription amount is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Donation / Subscription amount is payable by Demand Draft only in favor of “SAINIK WELFARE CHARITABLE FUND” payable at New Delhi
- In case of loss, duplicate Card Fee of Rs 250/- will be charged and the original card will be BLOCKED.
- FUNDS so collected shall be utilized only to purpose of charity and welfare of our brethren in uniform and their dependents or NOKs.
- Benevolent Fund policy of SWO-India permits use of FUNDS for any National Charitable Activity /Cause/Crisis or for the purpose of charity as given in the Aims and Objectives.
- SAINIK WELFARE DONATION CARD is VALID for 3 years from the date of issue.
- There is no restriction of age in order to avail any of these benefits.
- Minimum 30 days time shall be taken to dispatch the receipts and cards to the members.
